ARE YOU READY TO BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER?

Our hands-on training will take your skills and transform them so that you are industry-ready – all while working in a real, professional media production atmosphere. From set building and lighting & audio design, to stunts and production management, all of our departments work together to create a real feature film. You’ll leave LIMS looking like a pro and ready to work in any crew!

PUT THOSE SKILLS TO USE

In the Film and TV department, you’ll learn how to push yourself, adapt to the industry’s vigorous work schedule, embrace tight deadlines, and evolve your passion into real success! You’ll get a one-of-a-kind experience working alongside the various departments of a film production crew to create a real feature film. Our Program is 12 weeks, 8-12 hours per day. In the first four weeks, trainees prepare for the production. The final eight weeks will have each student using his or her skills to create a “real” filmed production, not a student film.

CHOOSE A PROGRAM:

Organize a film production’s finances, obtain location contracts and permits, and handle scheduling and crew hiring to make sure the production runs smoothly.

Learn your way around a mill, and master set art and construction techniques to create realistic sets, scenery, and props.

Collaborate with the director and be the person behind the camera. Maintain compositions and camera angles to capture the director’s vision.

Work closely with the camera and lighting department by rigging camera-supporting equipment, such as camera dollies and cranes, and creating a shot’s lighting setup.

Record, assemble, and clean all dialogue recorded on the set, and design sound effects to prepare the film’s audio for final mixing.

Transform actors into stylized characters with professional hair and makeup techniques and special FX design.

The Wardrobe Department is responsible for all of the clothing and costumes worn by all of the actors that appear on screen. Be part of style and theme of the movie by working in this department!
